Chilliwack Military Museum
To collect, preserve, research and display military artifacts donated to us for safe keeping at our facility. Additionally we will describe the history of our artefacts or those brought to us for explanation.
We shall endeavour to use our knowledge to seek and retrieve Canadian Military Records and/or assist those able to research their own family.
Our extensive library of military history books are available for loan or to read at the museum.
Several local museums have established a connection with us and we engage whenever possible to present a joint exhibition.
Annually our volunteers invite local Retired Military Veterans and their families/caregivers to attend a play put on by a local student assembly followed by a catered meal.
Our facility is made available for guided group tours and Veteran chats.
We are very thankful to our supporting donors and volunteers who facilitate the above. We are a not-for-profit registered society within British Columbia and registered with Revenue Canada for tax deductible receipts.
