  • Physical Description : Sapper Visenau was the first Canadian soldier of the UNEF Middle East Peace Keeping mission in 1956/57 to lose his life. He died of a heart attack clearing a safe lane to rescue a patrol of Norwegian Army soldiers who had strayed into a minefield. The Last Parade: The coffin bearing the body of Spr. Visenau is taken from The RC Chapel at Abu Sweir Air Base. Honorary pallbearer is S/Sgt Harding. Pallbearers are: Cpl. Norman, Spr's Jones, Lake, Wheeler, Leathwood, Procure, Titus, and Lafferty.
